On your wedding day, your own story becomes entwined in the beauty of this character-filled and historic bakery. More than a century old, this space captivates with its uncommon charm and brings a covetable, rustic style to your day.

Tactile and warm with exposed brick, wooden beams and an original wood-fired oven, the bakery invites ample light through the large windows and overlooks the lovely Harvest gardens.

Still a working bakery, the wood-fired oven can be used to create an abundant chef-cooked feast. In line with Harvest’s paddock-to-plate ethos, you may choose to have a whole beast cooked in the oven, exciting guests with the beautiful aromas, enlivening all senses.

Whether you choose a stand-up or sit-down event, you’ll enjoy beautiful harvest fare and be well looked after by the dedicated bakery bar and floor staff. Already such a unique space, minimal styling is needed, but you’re always welcome to add personal touches to colour your story.

The Bakery can accommodate either 10 guests for an intimate, long table event, 40 seated guests, or up to 70 guests for a canapé-and-cocktail-style wedding.

The Details

What does the venue hire fee include?

• Exclusive use of the Harvest Bakery
• Private chefs, floor staff and bar staff
• Pre-wedding planning and on-the-day event co-ordinator
• Handmade ceramic tableware, glassware and cutlery
• Cut-glass candles and tealights
• Tables, chairs, bakery lounge chairs and furniture
• iPod dock and background speakers
• Cordless microphone
• Open fireplace and wood-fired oven

What do I need to supply?

• The bakery’s beautiful history speaks for itself, but you can supply as much or as little as you wish, such as flowers, wedding favours, place names and table plan, wishing well, guest book and any thing else special to you.

• The bakery has a phone dock to play background music, however, you will need to hire a speaker if you wish to dance. You are also more than welcome to organise a DJ or band, however, they will need to supply sound equipment and speakers.

When do I need to deliver all my styling items?

•We will meet with you the day prior to your wedding to deliver all your items and arrange any other styling requirements. This is also the time when we will discuss last-minute details to ensure the day flows smoothly and without any concerns. It’s our priority that you feel supported and at ease come the big day.

What time are your music curfew and departure times?

• We have a 10.30pm music curfew, by which time DJs or musicians must conclude. However, background music may be played until 11.00pm

• Harvest has an 11.00pm departure time

When can suppliers deliver items and set up?

• Florists can deliver flowers on the day and set up 2 hours prior to guests’ arrival
• Musicians and DJ’s can set up 2 hours prior to guests’ arrival
• Lighting can be set up 2 hours prior to guests’ arrival
• The wedding cake can be delivered on the day

Do we need an additional wedding planner or co-ordinator on the day?

•When you choose Harvest for your special day, it’s our pleasure to look after everything for you. We have very experienced event managers and co-ordinators to help plan and curate your wedding day.

There is no extra cost or fee for this service, as the wedding planner and co-ordinator is part of our service and included in the venue hire fee.

Does Harvest make wedding cakes?

• Yes! We make beautiful wedding cakes and can either serve it as a dessert canape or a plated dessert. You’re also more than welcome to supply your own cake with a small fee.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

• Harvest takes dietary requirements very seriously and will make sure every guest is looked after according to their specific needs.

Can we choose to run a bar tab or beverage package?

• Yes, of course. You know your guests better than anyone and you know how much they’ll drink and what they love to drink.

This is why we have created two options, so you have the flexibility to either run a bar tab or choose a beverage package.

Do you have non-alcoholic beverage packages?

• We provide a non-alcoholic beverage package for guests, which includes mocktails, mineral and filtered water, soft drinks, kombucha, hot chocolate, Byron Bay brewed tea and Allpress coffee.

Do you have cocktail and spirit packages?

• Yes, we have an exciting range of cocktails, house-made elixirs, tonics and spirits available either within a package or to run on a bar tab.
